The APQS Exclusive Smart Bobbin has almost half the mass of the M oversized Bobbin.Lower mass means lower inertia, so it can stop and start, slow down and speed up faster and easier.
The advantages of our Smart•Bobbin.
Enjoys almost 50% less inertial mass. Very low moment of inertia allows high speed quilting at lower tension levels. Lower bobbin and top thread tensions produce beautiful quality stitches. Less inertial mass enables you to quilt with a wide variety of thread types.

| We are introducing the "Big Bobbin"---it's perfect for pantograph or overall quilters who like to make several passes before changing the bobbin. The Smart Bobbin is an excellent choice for quilters who concentrate on detail quilting or custom work, and for art quilters who enjoy experimenting with a multitude of threads and fibers. APQS has thoroughly tested the "Big Bobbin" with a multitude of threads and fabrics, and is impressed with its performance. The reason we can be so successful with the Big Bobbin where our competitors struggle is two-fold-the simple thread path for APQS machines reduces the amount of tension required to draw up the bobbin thread to complete each stitch in the quilt sandwich. Plus, our head design does not require us to use a larger take-up lever which is normally required with large hooks, thanks to the proximity of the APQS Big Bobbin hook to the needle plate. We are able to mount the Big Bobbin to the gearbox shaft without changing where the shaft runs through the machine. Since the top thread does not have to travel nearly as far around the hook assembly as it does with other large bobbin machines to complete the stitch, the stitches are pulled taut and snug in the quilting layers very successfully. | |

Once you have picked out all the features for your new machine, a quick phone call with Heidi will verify the details of your purchase. You will then receive a final invoice, less your deposit, by email which can be payed by Mastercard, Visa, Discover, Personal Check, or Bank Transfer.
Shortly after your payment clears, Heidi will send one last email welcoming you to the APQS family, with shipping details, including the name and phone # of the Freight Company that will be delivering your machine.
